Hold Christmas With Your Heart

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

That's it right there, folks. He, Jesus our Lord and Savior, He is the entire reason for Christmas.

For that reason alone, we should be holding this season, Christmas, with our hearts.

Oh yeah, it is MY time of year. But, then again, in my world, Christmas is every day.

Every day, I make a point of celebrating that Birth that made His Life and His Death on OUR behalf possible.

Oh sure, I love the decorations, the singing, even gifts - to an extent. But, let's not ever lose sight of Him during all the hub-bub.

Break out the boxes of decorations. Untangle the strings of light. Get that tree up and decorated. Break out the Christmas songs. Let's fill the world with this instead of what we have been spoon fed for too long now.

What a perfect time of the year for us each to celebrate our own rebirth. The one that ensured our place in Heaven!

That's also what this Season is about.

Nope, not forgetting Easter.

But, without Christmas, there is no Easter.

One of the things I have done for 3, 4, 5 years now, is to celebrate the season starting on December 1st and reading a chapter from the Book of Luke each day. That gets me to the Christmas story on Christmas Eve.

Cannot think of a single thing that is more appropriate. Can you?

I don't want to overstay my welcome, or beat a dead horse.

I just wanted to put a subtle reminder out there about Who and Why we celebrate the Day.

It won't be the first time you hear it this year, nor will it be the last, but from me to YOU, Merry and Blessed Christmas!
